The City Garden is a small but historic park at the very centre of Odesa, gifted to the town by one of its founding families early in the nineteenth century. Shaded by mature trees and centred on a fountain and a bronze figure inspired by a beloved local song, it opens directly onto the main pedestrian street. Bandstands, sculptures and cafe terraces give it a genteel, lived-in charm. Residents and visitors gather here to rest between sights, listen to occasional live music and enjoy the greenery amid the surrounding stone streets.
