This unfinished Serbian Orthodox church stands on the campus of the University of Pristina, its construction begun in the 1990s but halted by the Kosovo conflict before completion. The large brick structure with its distinctive cross plan and unfinished dome has remained a contested and much-debated presence in the capital, its future the subject of ongoing dispute. Surrounded by university buildings, the empty shell has become an unintended landmark reflecting the region's difficult recent history.
