Built in the early 19th century in the old quarter of Pristina, the Jashar Pasha Mosque is celebrated for the vivid painted decoration covering its interior and porch. Floral motifs, medallions and stylised landscapes in bright colours adorn the walls and dome in a provincial Ottoman baroque style rarely preserved so completely. The single-domed prayer hall is fronted by a portico and accompanied by a slender minaret. Standing near other Ottoman monuments in the historic centre.
