This ethnographic museum in central Pristina occupies a walled complex of 18th and 19th-century Ottoman houses, one of the best-preserved examples of traditional domestic architecture in the city. The timber-framed buildings, arranged around a courtyard with a well and garden, display furnishings, costumes, jewellery, weapons and household objects illustrating the daily life of an Ottoman-era family. Carved wooden ceilings, built-in cupboards and raised seating areas show the interior arrangements of the period.
