The largest park in Ljubljana spreads across the slopes on the western edge of the centre, blending formal gardens with wooded hillside. Laid out in the nineteenth century and later reshaped by the architect Jože Plečnik, its grand central promenade lined with lamps and photographs leads to a Baroque mansion housing a graphic arts centre. Ponds, statuary, tree-lined avenues, and playgrounds make it a year-round retreat for walkers, joggers, and families. Paths climb toward Rožnik hill, extending the green space into surrounding forest.
