One of the largest interactive science museums in Europe, the Copernicus Science Centre sits on the Vistula riverbank and opened in 2010. It houses hundreds of hands-on exhibits spanning physics, biology, robotics and the human body, encouraging visitors to experiment rather than simply observe. A domed planetarium screens astronomy films, while a rooftop garden offers river views. Named for the astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus, it draws families, students and school groups, and its evening adult-only sessions are a city fixture.
