This parish church on Dawson Street was founded in the early eighteenth century, though its striking Romanesque Revival front was added in the 1860s. Behind the façade lies a galleried interior with fine woodwork and stained glass. A curious feature is a shelf beside the altar dating from a 1723 bequest that provided bread for the poor of the parish, a charity that continued for many years. The novelist Bram Stoker was married here, adding a literary footnote to the building's long history.
