Ranger's House is an elegant Georgian villa on the edge of Greenwich Park, built in the early eighteenth century and later home to the ranger of the royal park. It now houses the Wernher Collection, an outstanding assembly of medieval and Renaissance art, jewellery, enamels and paintings gathered by the diamond magnate Julius Wernher. The richly furnished rooms display treasures from Limoges enamels to Renaissance bronzes. The house has also gained wider fame as a filming location for a popular period television drama.
