Malaysia's oldest Burmese Buddhist temple, established in 1803, standing directly across the road from Wat Chayamangkalaram in the Pulau Tikus quarter. Its grounds mix whitewashed stupas, carved teak pavilions and panels depicting the Buddha's life, watched over by mythical chinthe lions at the gate. A standing Buddha hall and wishing pond make it a calm counterpoint to its Thai neighbour.
