A Thai Buddhist temple on Lorong Burma housing a 33-metre gold-plated reclining Buddha, among the longest statues of its kind outside Thailand. Naga serpents and towering yaksha guardians flank the entrance, while niches behind the great statue hold cremation urns of devotees. The land was granted to the Thai community by Queen Victoria in 1845, a legacy of early trade diplomacy.
