The grandest of Penang's Chinese clanhouses, tucked into a granite-paved square reached through narrow lanes off Cannon Street. Its early-20th-century temple hall carries an extraordinary weight of carved stone dragons, gilded woodwork and ceramic roof sculpture crafted by artisans from southern China. A small museum beneath the hall traces the Khoo clan's journey from Fujian to the Straits Settlements.
