One of the oldest temples in Hong Kong, Man Mo Temple on Hollywood Road in Sheung Wan was built in 1847 and is dedicated to the gods of civil affairs and martial arts. The interior is perpetually wreathed in smoke from enormous hanging spiral incense coils suspended from the ceiling. The temple's dark teak fittings, antique sedan chairs used for deity processions, and constant incense haze make it the most atmospheric interior in the city.
