Húsavík is a fishing town on the north coast of Iceland, widely considered Europe's premier whale-watching destination for its reliable summer sightings of humpback whales in Skjálfandi Bay. The colourful wooden church overlooking the harbour and the traditional fishing boats below are recognisable emblems of the town. The Húsavík Whale Museum provides one of the most comprehensive cetacean natural history collections in northern Europe.
