A public square in central Manila named for the revolutionary leader Andrés Bonifacio, this plaza fronts the old central post office building beside the Pasig River. A monument to the working-class hero of the independence struggle stands within it, and the square has long served as a rallying ground for labor gatherings. Its open paving and surrounding neoclassical architecture reflect the American-era civic planning of the district. The space forms part of the ceremonial heart of the capital, linking government buildings by the river.
