The colonial town hall on the main square of Córdoba is one of the finest surviving cabildos in Argentina. Built during the Spanish period with a long arcaded facade of white arches, it once housed the local council and administrative offices of the colonial city. Its rooms and inner courtyards, including former cells, now serve as a cultural centre and museum recounting the city's history. Facing the cathedral across the plaza, it anchors the historic core of a city known for its Jesuit heritage and colonial architecture.
