The Presidential Mansion in Athens is the official residence of the President of Greece, a neoclassical building near the National Garden completed in 1897 as a palace for the crown prince. Designed by Ernst Ziller, one of the most influential architects of modern Athens, it later served the royal family before becoming the presidential seat. Its restrained classical facade is guarded by evzones in traditional dress, whose ceremonial presence links it to the nearby parliament. The changing of the guard outside can be watched from the street.
