Set beside an ancient burial ground north of Lima, this site museum interprets the pre-Columbian cultures of the central Peruvian coast. Its collection of textiles, ceramics, and funerary objects comes largely from the necropolis at Ancón, where dry conditions preserved fragile organic materials for millennia. Displays explain burial customs, weaving, and the sequence of coastal societies before the Inca. Located within the archaeological zone, it connects the objects with the landscape that produced them.
