Plaza Cisneros, also called the Park of Lights, is a redeveloped public square in central Medellín flanked by the former Vásquez and Carré warehouse buildings. Its most striking feature is a grid of tall illuminated posts and slender palms installed in the early 2000s to reclaim a once-neglected area near the old railway. The lights create a dramatic night-time scene beside the historic brick buildings, which now house cultural and educational offices. The project is often held up as a symbol of the city's urban renewal.
