This vast brick cathedral on Parque de Bolívar is often cited as one of the largest churches built entirely of fired brick in the world. Constructed between 1875 and 1931 in a Romanesque Revival style, it required more than a million bricks and dominates the northern side of the square. The wide interior holds a notable pipe organ and stained glass, while the surrounding park hosts a monthly antiques and crafts market. Its scale reflects the wealth and religious devotion of Medellín during its industrial rise.
