Set in a former presidential residence on a hill above the old town, this museum presents the history and archaeology of Honduras. The villa once belonged to President Julian Lozano and later served as an official home before becoming a museum. Galleries display pre-Columbian artefacts, colonial objects and exhibits on the country's political and social history. Its terraces offer views over the tiled roofs of central Tegucigalpa toward the surrounding hills.
