HMCS Sackville is a preserved Flower-class corvette moored on the Halifax waterfront, the last survivor of the small escort warships that guarded North Atlantic convoys during the Second World War. Restored to her wartime appearance, she serves as Canada's naval memorial, honouring the sailors of the Battle of the Atlantic. Visitors can tour her cramped mess decks, bridge and engine spaces to grasp the harsh conditions of convoy duty. The ship lies close to the maritime museum along the busy boardwalk.
