The Gooderham Building is a wedge-shaped Victorian office block in downtown Toronto, completed in 1892 on a triangular lot where two streets meet at a sharp angle. Its distinctive prow, red-brick walls and copper-clad turret make it one of the most photographed structures in the city, framed against the glass towers of the financial district. Sometimes called the Flatiron of Toronto, it predates the more famous New York building of the same nickname. A large trompe-l'oeil mural decorates its broad rear wall.
