A large public park laid out beside the Cape Town Stadium for the 2010 World Cup, blending open lawns with a biodiversity garden of indigenous plants. Paths wind past ponds, a children's play area and outdoor fitness equipment, with the slopes of Signal Hill and Lion's Head rising behind. The park replaced part of the old common and golf course and has become a favourite spot for picnics, jogging and family outings. Interpretive planting showcases the flora of the Cape Floral Kingdom in an accessible urban setting.
