The Old Supreme Court Building is a stately classical structure on the civic green of Singapore, completed in 1939 as the last major colonial edifice built in the city. Its Corinthian columns, dome, and allegorical pediment sculptures evoke the courts of imperial Europe. Together with the adjoining former city hall, it was converted into the National Gallery, which now displays Southeast Asian art within its restored courtrooms and cells. The building overlooks the historic parade ground of the heritage precinct.
