The Fullerton Building is a monumental neoclassical landmark at the mouth of the Singapore River, completed in 1928 and once home to the general post office and government offices. Its grand Doric colonnade and imposing stone facade dominate the waterfront where the modern financial district meets the historic quays. After careful restoration it reopened as a heritage hotel, retaining its lofty lobby and period detailing. A gazetted national monument, it anchors a riverside stretch of fountains and promenades.
