One of the principal market streets of Jaipur's walled pink city, this bazaar runs from the Chandpole gate and is known for its marble and stone carvers, idol makers and handicraft shops. The uniform pink-washed facades and arcaded shopfronts follow the 18th-century town plan that gives the old city its coherence. Artisans can be seen shaping statues of deities from marble along the lanes. Less touristy than the jewellery bazaars, it offers an authentic look at the craft traditions that still thrive within the historic walls.
