A linear park in the southeast preserving the longest surviving stretch of the old inner-city rampart, together with a restored corner watchtower. The thick brick wall, part of the enclosure that once ringed the imperial capital before most of it was demolished, has been stabilized and fronted by lawns and flowering trees. The imposing multi-tiered corner tower at its eastern end houses displays on the vanished defenses. Walking the wall's base gives a rare tangible sense of the fortified perimeter.
