This modern cultural and educational complex on the Iset River in Yekaterinburg is dedicated to the life of Boris Yeltsin, the first president of post-Soviet Russia, who began his career in the city. Its centrepiece is an interactive museum tracing the turbulent transition of the 1990s through recreated interiors, film and documents. The building also holds galleries, an auditorium and cafés. Since opening in the 2010s it has become a leading contemporary attraction in the Urals and a venue for concerts and lectures.
