This business tower in Yekaterinburg was for a time the tallest skyscraper in Russia outside Moscow and remains a defining feature of the Urals skyline. Named after the singer and actor Vladimir Vysotsky, it rises about a hundred and eighty metres and houses offices, a hotel and a small museum devoted to the artist. Its main draw is an open observation deck near the top, offering a full panorama of the city, its lakes and surrounding forested hills. On clear days the view stretches toward the Europe-Asia boundary nearby.
