This Soviet-era circus building on the bank of the Iset River is one of the architectural landmarks of Yekaterinburg, recognisable for the pair of curved lattice arches that sweep over its dome. Opened in the 1980s, it seats a large audience beneath a distinctive concrete and steel roof that has become a symbol of the city's late-modernist design. It continues to host traditional circus performances and touring shows. The riverside location places it within easy reach of the central embankment and many views of the cityscape.
