Garage Museum of Contemporary Art

Located within Gorky Park, this museum of contemporary art occupies a former Soviet restaurant pavilion reclad in translucent polycarbonate by architect Rem Koolhaas, preserving old mosaics and tilework inside a crisp modern envelope. It stages large international exhibitions, commissions new work and maintains an extensive archive of Russian contemporary art.
