Set in a Baroque palace in the Upper Town, this museum is devoted to the naïve art movement that flourished in Croatia during the twentieth century. Its collection centres on painters of the Hlebine School, notably Ivan Generalić, who worked in oil on glass to depict rural life with vivid colour and dreamlike detail. Galleries also include sculpture and works by international self-taught artists, offering a compact but distinctive survey. The intimate rooms and glowing panels make it one of the more unusual small museums in the capital.
