The Rynek Underground is an archaeological museum set several metres beneath Kraków's Main Market Square, opened after excavations revealed medieval streets and foundations. Glass floors, holograms and reconstructed market stalls let visitors walk among the remains of trading booths, roads and workshops from the 11th to 14th centuries. Exhibits explain the salt and cloth trade that made the city wealthy and display coins, tools and burial finds unearthed on site.
