Housed in the pseudo-Moorish Vijećnica, the former city hall, this library was devastated by fire during the 1990s siege. Painstakingly rebuilt, its ornate arcaded interior and painted ceilings have been restored. The riverside building is a symbol of Sarajevo's resilience.
