Lazarevskoe Cemetery, Saint Petersburg

The oldest surviving cemetery of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra, opened in 1717, holds tombs of Petrine-era nobles, architects and scholars. Baroque and neoclassical monuments crowd its walled 18th-century burial ground.
