Rakowicki Cemetery

Opened in 1803, this is one of Kraków's oldest and most prestigious burial grounds, holding the graves of many figures from Polish culture, science and independence movements. Its tree-lined avenues are lined with elaborate 19th-century tombs and sculpted monuments.
