Opera Krakowska

The Kraków opera company moved into a purpose-built modern opera house near the city's ring road in 2008, ending decades without a permanent home. The striking red-glazed building provides a large auditorium and full stage facilities for opera, operetta and ballet. Its contemporary architecture contrasts with the historic theatres of the old town yet gives the company technical resources for ambitious staging. It has expanded the range of opera available in the city.
