Haydarpasa Terminal

This monumental terminus rises directly from the Bosphorus shore, built by German architects in a neo-Renaissance style for the Baghdad Railway. Its stone facade and twin towers have long framed arrivals from Anatolia, and the building sits partly on piles driven into the sea.
