A narrow cape on the northern coast of Taiwan where differential erosion of the Datun Formation sandstone has sculpted hundreds of mushroom rocks, honeycomb depressions, sea caves, and single-pillar formations. The most famous form — the Queen's Head — is a weathered pedestal rock whose silhouette suggests a crowned profile; it has become an emblem of northern Taiwan's coastal geology and is the subject of conservation concern as the neck continues to thin.
