A narrow historic lane in Tainan lined with restored timber-and-brick shophouses that once formed a busy harbour-side trading street. Dating to the Qing era, it retains its low two-storey merchant houses now occupied by cafes, craft studios, and small bars, their painted lanterns glowing at night. A small temple at one end anchors the street, which remains one of the best-preserved commercial streetscapes in the old port city. Its atmospheric mix of weathered facades and warm lantern light makes it a favourite of evening photographers.
