Covering nearly 20 percent of Mahé island, this park protects the forested interior including Morne Seychellois, the highest peak in the Seychelles at 905 metres. Trails of varying difficulty pass through mist-laden cloud forest sheltering the rare Seychelles black parrot, pitcher plants, and endemic palm species. The summit trail rewards climbers with panoramic views over the granite island chain stretching across the Indian Ocean.
