The National Museum of Natural History in Victoria presents the flora, fauna and geology of the Seychelles archipelago in a modest colonial-era building. Displays cover the islands' unique wildlife, including the giant tortoise, coco de mer palm and endemic birds found nowhere else on earth. Geological exhibits explain the granitic origins that set the inner islands apart from most tropical archipelagos. Compact and educational, it offers visitors a helpful overview of the natural heritage that made the Seychelles a focus of conservation.
