Sans Souci is a mountain pass and district in the forested interior of Mahé, crossed by the scenic road that winds from Victoria to the island's western coast. The route climbs through the Morne Seychellois uplands, offering viewpoints over the capital, the harbour and the surrounding sea. Along the way lie tea plantations, a mission ruin and trailheads leading into the national park's cloudforest. The cooler highland air and dense endemic vegetation make it a favoured stop for walkers exploring the mountainous heart of the island.
