Lausanne

Lausanne is the fourth-largest city in Switzerland, situated on the terraced hillside above the northern shore of Lake Geneva in the canton of Vaud. The Gothic cathedral of Notre-Dame dominates the old town from a hilltop, and a network of pedestrian stairs descends through medieval quarters toward the lake port at Ouchy. Lausanne is the seat of the International Olympic Committee and home to the Olympic Museum at Ouchy.
