Overlooking Lake Geneva at Ouchy in Lausanne, seat of the International Olympic Committee, this museum charts the history of the modern Games from their revival in 1896. Terraced gardens climbing from the shore are set with sculptures, a running track and a monumental staircase inscribed with host cities. Inside, three floors gather torches, medals, athletes' equipment and film that trace the summer and winter Games across more than a century. Interactive displays let visitors test their reactions and balance against Olympic athletes.
