Parque Kennedy is a lively central park in the Miraflores district of Lima, forming the social heart of the seaside neighbourhood. Named for the American president, it is a compact triangular green space ringed by cafés, shops and a colonial-era church. The park is known for its resident population of cats, cared for by volunteers, which laze among the flowerbeds and benches. Craft markets, painters and street performers gather here in the evenings, and paths lead toward the nearby clifftop promenade.
