Rising unexpectedly amid the residential streets of San Isidro, this adobe pyramid was built by the Lima culture roughly two thousand years ago and later reused as a burial ground. Restored in the 1950s with a ramped profile, it offers a small site museum displaying mummies, textiles and ceramics recovered during excavation. A gentle path climbs to the summit for views over the surrounding modern district. The contrast between the ancient earthen mound and the glass towers around it illustrates Lima's layered urban history.
