Plaza de Bib-Rambla is a broad rectangular square in the centre of Granada whose name recalls a gate of the former Moorish city that once stood nearby. Rebuilt over the centuries, it is now lined with flower stalls, cafés and pastel façades, with a baroque fountain of giants at its centre. Historically the site of markets, festivities and even the burning of Arabic manuscripts, it lies close to the cathedral and the tangled streets of the Alcaicería silk market, and remains a relaxed place to sit and watch.
