The Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple is a major Hindu temple in Singapore's Little India, dedicated to Vishnu in his form as Srinivasa Perumal. Established in the 1850s, it is fronted by a towering gopuram added in the twentieth century and covered with tiers of brightly painted sculptures of the deity and his avatars. The temple is the starting point of the annual Thaipusam procession, when devotees carry ornate kavadi structures on a long walk to another temple across the city.
