Palazzo della Consulta is an eighteenth-century Baroque palace on the Quirinal Hill in Rome that houses the Constitutional Court of Italy. Designed by Ferdinando Fuga for the papacy, its elegant facade with a central balcony and sculpted trophies faces the presidential palace across the square. The building served curial and governmental purposes before becoming the seat of the court ruling on the constitutionality of laws. While the interior is reserved for judicial work, its refined exterior forms part of the ensemble atop the hill.
